Job Description:
We have a full-time job opportunity for a customer-focused HVAC Sales professional with a passion for sales and proven track record of success. The qualified candidate will be a self-starter and exhibit a high level of professionalism and possess superior communication and negotiation skills.
Job Duties:
Estimate and bid plan and spec control projects
Contact all mechanical contractors and develop a relationship so they want to use WHV as a control subcontractor.
Develop relationships with mechanical engineers to make sure that the Automated Logic project is approved in all specifications.
Assist engineers with specification writing.
Work with building owners to understand the specification process and need for proper product listings.
Review of sources for building projects to qualify on what projects to bid.
Maintain relations with our existing customers.
Expand our level of business with existing customers to include mechanical services in addition to control services.
Identify mechanical needs for our customers and sell control upgrades, energy conversation, system improvements, and mechanical repairs.
Upsell our current control service maintenance agreements to include preventative maintenance task on the heating and air condition equipment.
Call on new customers to sell our services.
Promote mechanical service to our service technicians.
Promote our services to all customer in our Iowa territory.
Project manage jobs sold.
Provide project information to programming engineer.
Culture the Des Moines and Cedar Rapids area that WHV is a mechanical service contractor.
Perform demonstrations of our building automation system.
Job Requirements:
A High School Diploma or a G.E.D required. Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of five years of documented successful direct sales experience in the business-to business HVAC Controls or similar industry
Demonstrated tenacity in using effective sales strategies and techniques to achieve sales goals.
Skill in building long term customer relationships.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor.
Skill in proactively communicating (both verbal and written) to establish relationships and influence decisions.
Excellent negotiation and objection countering skills.
Skill in using critical thought to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
Ability to manage coworker and customer interactions with tact and diplomacy.
Displays persistence, with strong drive to succeed.
Consistently works to promote company growth while maintaining ethical standards.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
