Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, you'll provide project management services to RSS operating companies and to other corporate operating companies as needed including; working with key individuals/stakeholders to determine project critical success factors and ensuring that projects are structured so that critical business needs are met.
We'll rely on you to develop project plans, generate work breakdown structures, estimate task duration, determine resource requirements, identify and track dependencies, assess and mitigate risk, and manage project budgets.
You will direct and coordinate activities of company and corporate operating company staff to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget, establishes work plans and staffing for each phase of project, assists with arrangements for recruitment or assignment of project personnel, and develops and distributes project status reports.
You'll work with a highly engaged team where you'll be able to develop strong working relationships with Regional segment companies, other corporate operating companies, and vendor resources.
We'll count on you to:
Direct and monitor all activities for 1-3 medium to large, medium to high risk, major technology-based projects from initiation to delivery.
Projects typically cross platforms, applications, and/or business lines.
Understands how and when to escalate issues to higher levels.
Analyzes the risks and future impact of decisions.
As needed, makes decisions and takes timely, independent action in pursuit of priorities.
Work significantly affects multiple teams and functional areas within RSS and the corporation.
Project visibility is typically at a corporate company Senior Management and/or a company Senior Management level.
Possess strong working knowledge of and experience utilizing a variety of Project Management concepts, principles, practices, procedures, and theories.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of and experience with project management phases, techniques and tools; sponsor and risk managment.
Thorough understanding and experience with common SDLCs and Project Management Lifecycles.
Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing cost analyses, significant issue management, and communication with business lines and technology management levels.
Contribute towards the development and improvement of the RSS project management methodology, processes, tools and mentoring for the organization.
Act as a supplementary Business Analyst resource on assigned projects as needed.
Fulfill the role of Scrum Master on key initiatives for Agile Application Development and Data related projects as needed.
Qualifications:
What you need to have:
Bachelors degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience.
7 years project management experience PMP, CSM or other similar certifications is a plus Technology project management experience, including experience successfully managing various projects.
Capable of meeting the key accountabilities, or have the ability to learn/perform them Software Development Life Cycle experience Excellent communication skills with ability to interact seamlessly at all levels with both technical and business stakeholders What makes you stand out:
