Summary:
The E-Commerce Merchandise Manager will work with our management team to ensure that the site runs smoothly, the demands and feedback of customers is heard, and will be responsible for speed-to-market for new products online.
This position will ultimately act as the liaison between E-Commerce, the technical team, business managers, executives, merchandising and all stakeholders to further develop and enhance HM online presence.
The ideal candidate embraces a fast-paced environment and has exceptional communication skills along with being digitally savvy.
Essential Position Accountabilities:
Develop product strategy based on ecommerce business and create end-to-end product roadmaps Lead training efforts to ensure that processes for product lifecycle are efficient and up to date Research potential new categories and develop strategic vision for onboarding categories of interest Work to build greater communication between the Ecommerce and Merchandising team members Research and assist with recommendations regarding a PIM tool Seek vendor efficiencies for speed-to-market on product launches Ability to assist with vendor negotiations when needed Strategize on merchandising objectives to enhance visual depiction and product taxonomy SEO product management Optimize product cross-selling Works with Merchandising staff to ensure product online processes are in place and ensures operational excellence with website functionality Assist business stakeholders in analyzing business requirements and coordinate resources to accomplish this Consistently in the pursuit of consumer testing and site optimization Collaborate with buying team to develop and introduce new site features as needed Work with IT to ensure the healthiness and performance of the site Continuous data analysis combined with applying key learnings to improve site Works with IT on projects that directly impact the online experience and tools used to manage product performance Manages projects associated with website development and works to train staff on new tool implementations On-going analysis of key business metrics, including but not limited to, channel sales and site performance Proactively shares their perspective even when different or potentially challenging Work closely with all corporate departments to provide a clear understanding of online programs and capabilities plus works on adoption plans to generate more visibility for the website The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned Education/Work Experience Required:
BS/BA required 3-5
years of
Experience:
Product Management, E-commerce, Marketing, Advertising, Merchandising, Project Management, Management Familiarity with E-Commerce systems, operations, and digital metrics Knowledge of the furniture industry a bonus Experience with Web Reporting/Google Analytics, Net Suite a bonus Ability to recruit, develop, manage & train staff Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
